From our downtown location and easy trail access at Griswold’s Lodge, you are in the perfect place to explore the region, from the Porcupine Mountains to Lake Superior, and everything in between. The Porcupine Mountains
Explore the natural beauty of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and find stunning scenery, flowing waterfalls, and breathtaking vistas, including Lake of the Clouds and Summit Peak, as well as the popular North Country and Escarpment trails. Explore the hiking trails, snowshoe, mountain bike, snowmobile, ATV, or follow a driving route to experience this beautiful place.
Ontonagon
Griswold’s Lodge is located in downtown Ontonagon, close to everything this vibrant community has to offer. Walk, ATV, or snowmobile to a number of local bars and restaurants (we’d be happy to recommend our favorites), explore local shops for souvenirs, and visit the historic museum and lighthouse.
Lake Superior
Only a few blocks from Griswold’s Lodge, enjoy the sandy beaches of Lake Superior—Griswold’s favorite place to play fetch!—or rent a boat from the nearby rental company to get on the water. With many different access points and secret locations, we'd love to tell you about all the things you can do by the water.
