ABOUT
GRISWOLD'S LODGE
Hi, I’m Griswold! My owners named our lodge after me, and I can't wait for you to visit so I can show you around. Griswold’s lodge combines the coziness of staying in your own home with the amenities and convenience you want. Conveniently located in downtown Ontonagon, but only 2 blocks from Lake Superior, you can choose whether to spend your time outdoors, or explore local shops and restaurants.
Adventure is Calling
From our convenient location in downtown Ontonagon, you can walk to Lake Superior, visit the Ontonagon River, or explore the Porcupine Mountains on foot, boat, ATV, snowmobile, or horseback. In any season, there are new adventures to be found. Book your stay and see what the Upper Peninsula has to offer.
ACTIVITIES
AROUND GRISWOLD'S LODGE
There’s so much to explore in Ontonagon and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re traveling solo or bringing the whole family, we’d love to help you find fun activities to fill your day. Explore the natural beauty of the Upper Peninsula in any season, hiking to waterfalls, seeing the northern lights, or renting a boat for a day on the water. Our visitors also love to experience the rich copper history of the Upper Peninsula by exploring local mines—you may even have the chance to find some rocks of your own! Plus, there are plenty of local shops, restaurants, and bars, located walking distance from the lodge.
“I love going to the beach—it’s only a few blocks away!”
