Hi, I’m Griswold! My owners named our lodge after me, and I can't wait for you to visit so I can show you around. Griswold’s lodge combines the coziness of staying in your own home with the amenities and convenience you want. Conveniently located in downtown Ontonagon, but only 2 blocks from Lake Superior, you can choose whether to spend your time outdoors, or explore local shops and restaurants.

New ownership recently, and they are awesome. Carly helped us out and went out of her way when we were in a bind and needed a place to stay. Very friendly. The place is dog friendly so that is also a bonus. Rooms were very clean, and fresh. Awesome location just a 3 minute walk to the beach/Lake Superior as well as Syl’s restaurant which was very good for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend the stay here if you’re in town.

My dog Lola and I enjoyed our stay at this motel. My room was very clean and the owners were super nice and made me feel at home. The location is great; close to lake Superior beaches and the restaurants in town. The only downside was that there was no air conditioner, however there was a fan in the window which did a good job cooling my room off so I was able to get a good night's sleep. I'd stay there again if I am ever in the area again.

So friendly, took us last minute, exhausted from camping. Clean cozy rooms with all the comforts of home! Cozy beds, clean and fresh smelling sheets and pillows, as well as extras; plenty of towels, microwave and mini-fridge. Super cute and we slept amazing!
